It has been a long time since I've posted anything here. I guess the main reason is because there has been so much change in the last year and half. I haven't wanted to write because I wasn't ready to talk about it and I haven't had time to write because I've been working my butt off! Anyway, here is what is going on:

In June of 2006 Innocent and I split up and we are now getting a divorce. It has been a time of great adjustment but the girls seem to be doing very well and so am I.

Julie is going to be 16 next week. Yes I said 16! I can hardly believe it. She tries to be so independent and like a good mother I squash her plans quite often. She is trying to find a part time job and she is talking a lot about driving which I'm not quite ready for. Of course I also hate chauffeuring her around, so we'll see how long it is before I give in on the driving thing. Her grades are very good and she has been doing a lot of volunteer work and also been a member of the diversity club at school. She is still struggling to make friends but I'm hoping that her involvement in these activities will help her get out of her shell.

Helena on the other hand could stand to go back into her shell a little bit. She loves loves LOVES attention and will annoy anyone within distance until they play with her or at least acknowledge her cuteness. She is doing very well in daycare and has many friends. Of course when you are three and half years old, everyone is your friend. It is lovely.
