A Girl Lives Life

I haven’t blogged in a while, so I thought that I would take a minute to update my Blog. It seems like not much has been going on but that couldn’t be true. I’m just so busy that I don’t have much time to reflect on what is going on.

Julie is doing exceptionally well in school. Last year was such a struggle but this year is a totally different story. On Thursday I came home early from work expecting that she would be out running around and not doing her homework but she was working diligently at the dining room table when I got home. I haven’t had to yell at her to do her homework and when I checked her grades online, she is getting mostly As and Bs. I’m very proud of her.

Helena is growing too fast. She is becoming quite the conversationalist and singer. She loves to sing Bob the Builder and because of a problem with our DVD player, is learning the Bob the Builder song in French. “Peut-on le faire? Oui, On peut!”

I have been busy working a couple of jobs to help make ends meet. I started working in ticket sales for the St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Minnesota Opera. The pay is not good but the schedule is really flexible. Plus I get great perks like free tickets to different concerts and plays. In fact, I look forward to a dance concert on Tuesday called Forro For All (http://www.ordway.org/planetordway/0607/forro.asp). It is girl’s night out for Julie, Helena, Stacy, and me.

Halloween is coming up. Stay tuned for some great Halloween photos.
